The "Star*Immun" study is a clinical observational study. It focuses on the scientific investigation of the relationship between depressive symptoms, neuroimmunological parameters, and experienced discrimination and minority stress. A comparison is made between sexual and gender minority populations and heterosexual cis people. Methodically, questionnaires as well as the examination of blood, saliva and hair samples are used. The aim is to better understand the development of depressive symptoms in marginalized people, and, in particular, to derive prevention strategies.
